  Being new to this particular church I found the people in general were very friendly and accommodating. The people that I meet in the front of the church entrance walked me into the church helping avoid the crowded area at the church front entrance. Then lady sitting next to me even went out of her way to ensure I had missal. These act of kindness is a reflection of the church and good fellowship. Looking forward to continuing my visits at this particular church.

  Since my relocation about 3 yrs ago to Crystal River I have been attending St. Benedicts Catholic Church my experience has been very different compared to the many Catholic churches in Tampa and to my favorite Church, NATIVITY CATHOLIC CHURCH, In Brandon Fl. At St. Benedicts the attendance are of much older. Their music is extremely outdated and their welcome of new members are not recognised. The worst experience I have encountered is when arriving late, which can be often due to the nature and care required as a care giver to an elderly patient attending with me, they have a policy which I have NEVER EXPERIENCED IN ANY CHURCH BEFORE!! This policy is that "If your late when you walk in......YOU MUST STAND IN THE BACK OF THE CHURCH BY THE WHOLLY WATER UNTIL EVERYONE SITS". I have never been so embarrassed!!! Everyone looks at you while you just stand there as if you are being punished for being late!!! Even the priest stares at you giving his service. The people of this church are very nice. However as a summery, this church is way too OLD FASHIONED!! And they have nothing geared to interest the teenagers and our newer generations. Thankyou for taking time to read this. Maybe this will spark an interest in a new time for mass on Sundays at a later hour and new ways to entice the younger generations to come. AMEN.
